The Juneteenth Annual Golf Tournament benefits the Miller Child Development Center and supports the Official Juneteenth Festival. The Club At Sonterra features two 18-hole championship golf courses which offer unique settings and challenges: North and South Course(s). Designed by Bruce Devlin & Robert von Hagge and built in 1985, the North Course has rolling hills as far as the eye can see with beautiful 419 Bermuda fairways, Mini Verde greens and beautiful waterfalls. The South Course appeals to the traditional golfer; a Press Maxwell design, built in 1954, among acres upon acres of large oak trees, with its Tif-Eagle Super Dwarf Bermuda greens and heavily tree lined Bermuda fairways. Green fees are $175 per player.
Your cost includes Green Fees, Cart, Driving Range plus a Catered Breakfast and Lunch.
Play golf, meet people, have fun and support a great cause.

In 1996, the first Juneteenth Celebration was held at the Freeman Coliseum and featured local bands and entertainment. Future festivals have been held at the Carver Cultural Center and St. Paul Square. However, for the past 20+years, the festival has found a home at Comanche Park No. 2. Through the tireless efforts of the Commission, volunteers and community organizers, the Juneteenth Festival has grown to be a favorite venue for family reunions, community. This year is no exception. Join the Flotilla for their annual “Fish Fry” Friday benefitting their local scholarship fund. Local musicians and DJs will have you dancing and shouting the night away. Friday night headliner is the local group The Legends. Saturday evening the festival closes with the R&B styling of Larry Braggs, former lead singer of the Tower of Power. Bring your whole family out for this free event.
